Client Success Stories

LaQuanta is one of our recent clients who found her ideal career through coaching and a lot of work on her part. She shared three important lessons learned with us:
1.  Look for patterns: If you have worked, volunteered, etc. there are certain recurring themes that will surface. Be open to exploring what those patterns mean for your ideal career.
2.  Do not discount the small things: You may think that some seemingly insignificant fact about what you desire in a dream career is just that - insignificant. That small thing could be the key that unlocks the door that helps reveal your perfect career move.
3.  Sometimes the most uncomfortable decisions are those that place us in a right vs. wrong position. When faced with these types of dilemmas, if it is not a matter of doing something immoral, both options are good. Choose the one that is best for you in the long run. Even if it doesn't appear to work out in the short term, remember that one thing that makes our lives so awesome is the fact that there are always other options.

5 Tips for Negotiating Your Salary

Dale Carnegie once said, “Inaction breeds doubt and fear. Action breeds confidence and courage. If you want to conquer fear, don't sit home and think about it. Go out, and get busy.”This advice can be difficult, especially when it comes to talking about salary and asking for a raise.

4 Ways to Take Charge of Your Attitude

Being successful at work, just like anything else in life, is not just about what we do. Getting caught up in our to-do lists, it’s easy to forget that it’s also about how we approach actions: with the right perspective, the right attitude, the right energy level. Walter Scott said, “For success, attitude is equally important as ability.” If we don’t have the right attitude or our head is not in the game, our actions may not be as effective. Here are four ways to make sure that your attitude is supporting your success rather than detracting from it.
