You need this top leadership skill

Greetings Isodifj,

How are you? We hope you are holding up OK during these incredibly stressful times. We are here for you, we know it’s very difficult. Let us know how we can support you. We know you are needing to take care of your team as well as yourself, which can be a lot.

The top leadership skill to develop is powerful questions. Ask people how they are doing, but also feeling. Ask them how you can work together more effectively remotely. Find out what they need from you. Use open-ended questions to elicit a deeper, more thoughtful response from them to enable a more meaningful conversation. Read more below to find out the rest of the leadership skills we recommend.

Career Coach Tip of the Month

If you're feeling restless or a little behind about a project or client and feel the need to write an email to an employee late at night, save it as a draft. Proofread and send it the following morning. This way you can make sure that your email has the correct tone. Also, your employee won’t feel pressured to respond when they receive the email late at night.
